Homegrown musician JJ Lin celebrates his 43rd birthday (Mar 27), and earlier, he marked the occasion with a party to remember.
What was intended to be a simple get-together with friends turned into an unexpectedly heartwarming surprise.
In a video shared by JJ on Instagram (Mar 26), his mother made a spontaneous appearance at a Taipei hotpot restaurant where the ‘Happily, Painfully After’ artist was enjoying a meal with friends.
«It was supposed to be a straightforward birthday dinner with my friends in Taipei, but I guess my mom had other ideas,» he wrote.
«She flew in to surprise me and convinced everyone to play along.»
The sheer surprise on JJ’s face when he spotted his mom was truly priceless.
Netizens, as well as fellow celebrities like Dennis Chew and Pan Lingling, flooded the comments section with birthday wishes.
However, what really caught everyone’s attention was a comment from JJ’s buddy and Mandopop legend Jay Chou, asking, «What gift do you want from me?”
To which JJ playfully responded, “I want your Ferrari!”
We can’t help but wonder if he’s referring to that limited edition Ferrari rumored to cost US$2.2 million (S$3 million).
